One of our partner organisations, the Home Energy Taskforce (HET) is available and offering free thermal camera and energy loss surveys to you, residents of North Somerset. This small but enthusiastic community group wants to help people to reduce heat loss from their homes and become more energy efficient. By making their home more energy efficient people can hold onto their heat and stay warm over winter. In addition, you can save money on your energy bills and reduce your carbon footprint.
The volunteers will discuss which appliances will be using a lot of energy, explain your energy bill if needed, and suggest ways to reduce the energy used. The images from a thermal camera will help show up places of cold air leakage and where extra insulation and draught proofing can be used to help retain heat.
