DESCRIPTION:Thermal Imaging Camera Training \n\n\n\nDoes your home feel cold? Draughty Windows or Doors? Difficult areas to heat up? Sustainable Clevedon are running a short course to train people to use thermal imaging cameras in their homes to help improve energy efficiency and reduce those draughts\, cold spots and chilly areas. This will be held on Monday 3 February at the Community Centre in Princes Road\, Clevedon\, BS21 7SZ. The trainers https://www.cwmarian.org.uk/psess will explain the basic operation of thermal cameras\, how to interpret the results and identify where additional energy saving work would make your home more comfortable and efficient to heat. \n\n\n\nThere are two sessions: either 3-5pm or 6-8pm. Tea and coffee will be available for a donation. \n\n\n\nIf you would like to attend one of the sessions\, please contact sustainableclevedon@gmail.com Tell us which session you would like to attend\, or indicate either and we will balance numbers out across the two sessions. The cameras will then be available to borrow from Sustainable Clevedon. The training course will be run by Cwm Arian Renewable Energy (CARE). This Community Interest Society has installed a wind turbine in North Pembrokeshire and now oversees a range of projects\, all united by a commitment to strengthening the local community while promoting environmental sustainability. They launched Pembrokeshire Smarter Energy Support Service in April 2021\, offering expert home energy advice to residents of Pembrokeshire and towns and villages in neighbouring counties. DESCRIPTION:Volunteers needed – Help us get Alexandra Parade Gardens summer-ready!  \n\n\n\nNature and Climate North Somerset have been busy transforming Alexandra Parade Gardens\, but they need more volunteers to help to bring it all together! So far\, they’ve: \n\n\n\n Installed six raised bed planters filled with herbs  \n\n\n\n Revamped the floral clock with wildlife-friendly\, sustainable shrubs  \n\n\n\nNow\, they need the community of Weston-super-Mare to help them: \n\n\n\n Add soil to the planters \n\n\n\n Water the floral clock to keep it thriving \n\n\n\n Plant lavender\, along with general gardening \n\n\n\n Next volunteer session is Wednesday\, 2nd April from 10:00 – 12:30 \n\n\n\nThey will be installing a new planter and need extra hands to fill it with soil and plant lavender which has been generously donated by two local businesses on the high street – E-Bike UFO and Rubix.  \n\n\n\nIf you can spare some time\, they’d love to have you! DESCRIPTION:🌸 Blooming Weston Returns 🌸 next volunteering event is Monday 7th April at 10:30am. \n\n\n\nMet at Sparky the Donkey sculpture Worle BS22 6AD. Residential parking is available nearby. \n\n\n\nSparky the Donkey and the surrounding beds definitely need some TLC. \n\n\n\nThe beds have some lovely plants that are being strangled by weeds. \n\n\n\nIf you have them please bring gloves\, large garden fork\, secateurs\, hand fork and maybe a kneeling pad.
